Registration of interest to activate Unallocated Crown Land (ex Waterbank Station)

On behalf of the State of Western Australia, the Department is seeking to activate a currently underutilised portion of Unallocated Crown Land, located within the Shire of Broome

Registrations of interest (ROI) are invited from individuals and organisations to develop approximately 75,000 hectares of unallocated Crown land that comprised the former Waterbank Station in Western Australia’s Kimberley region.

This is a rare chance to revitalise a strategically located stretch of land on Broome’s doorstep.

Situated 40 kilometres from Broome, the site is bound by Kilto, Country Downs, Mt Jowlaenga, Roebuck Plains and Yeeda stations and may be suitable for a variety of uses.

Proposals must demonstrate a significant social, cultural or economic benefit to Broome and contribute to the future growth of the Kimberley community.

Registrations must be sent by email to waterbankproposals@dplh.wa.gov.au by 4pm on Friday 29 November 2019. Late registrations will not be accepted.
