Historic heritage

The Heritage Council of Western Australia is the State Government’s advisory body on historic heritage matters, established under the Heritage Act 2018.

The Heritage Council offers conservation grants, event/activity sponsorships and heritage plaques, and celebrates those working to conserve, protect and interpret our heritage through the annual Heritage Awards.

Advice on maintaining, altering, insuring, interpreting, protecting or buying and selling heritage places.

Western Australia’s heritage places consist of buildings, landscapes, monuments and other structures or sites that are culturally significant either at a local, State, national or international level.
