Fees

All fees payable to the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage for land administration can be found in Schedule 1 of the Land Administration Regulations 1998.

As of 1 July 2019, the following 3-tiered fee structure will apply for the preparation of documents for the purposes of the Land Administration Act 1997. The tiers are differentiated according to the complexity of each document and fees are calculated based on the time taken by staff to administer the document preparation.

Simple document

A ‘simple’ document takes an estimated 1.5 hours to complete (excluding any ‘downtime’).

Examples may include revocation of Management Orders; Lease extensions.

Moderate document

A ‘moderate’ document takes an estimated 4.5 hours (excluding any ‘downtime’) to complete.

Examples may include issuing of a Lease; granting of an Easement.

Complex document

A ‘complex’ document takes 8 hours or more (excluding any ‘downtime’) to complete and may involve Legal Services.

Examples may include Variation of Lease; preparing Contracts of Sale.

Please note:

  1. All the above fees are inclusive of GST.
  2. All the above fees will also incur an additional Landgate document lodgement fee. Please refer to the Landgate website for further details.
  3. The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage may waive document preparation fees if the Crown land concerned is used for community benefit.
  4. All other fees under Schedule 1 of the Land Administration Regulations 1998 will continue to apply where applicable.
  5. These fees are subject to regular reviews.
