Registration of interest to activate Unallocated Crown Land (ex Ardjorie Station)

On behalf of the State Government, the Department is seeking to activate for former Ardjorie pastoral station, another great development opportunity in the Western Australia’s Kimberley region.

Development or land use proposals are sought to activate the former Ardjorie Station — 360,000 hectares of underutilised portion of unallocated Crown land on the border of the shires of Broome and Derby-West Kimberley.

Situated approximately 140 kilometres south of Derby, and 160 kilometres east of Bidyadanga, Ardjorie Station is bound by the Mowla Bluff, Dampier Downs and Myroodah pastoral stations to the north, and the Nerrima pastoral station to the east.

It is the second development opportunity of a former pastoral station in the Kimberley region to be released in the past six months.

Proposals must demonstrate a significant social, cultural or economic benefit to the local community, region or State.

Registrations closed on 21 August 2020. The Department is now in the process of reviewing all submissions.
