This fact sheet provides information on the purpose and operation of an order made by the Minister for Planning (the Minister) under section 76 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.
The Western Australian Planning Commission has prepared this fact sheet to assist with understanding of section 76, particularly in regard to the Minister’s powers to order local governments to prepare and submit a new local planning scheme or scheme amendment, or to adopt a new local planning scheme or scheme amendment.
