Ocean Reef Marina

The purpose of this improvement plan is to guide development in the area to give effect to the strategic planning objectives for the Ocean Reef Marina area.

It is hereby notified for public information that the Western Australian Planning Commission, acting pursuant to part 8 of the Planning and Development Act 2005, has certified and recommended that, for the purpose of advancing the planning, development and use of the land described below, it should be made the subject of Improvement Plan No. 51: Ocean Reef Marina.

The Improvement Plan is located within the City of Joondalup and is approximately 24 km northwest of the Perth CBD. The land is located on the coastal foreshore and approximately 6 km west of the Joondalup city centre, 9 km north of Hillary’s Boat Harbour and 12 km south of Mindarie Marina. The project area includes the existing Ocean Reef Boat Harbour, as depicted on Western Australian Planning Commission plan numbered 3.2738.

The purpose of this improvement plan is to provide a statutory land use planning framework to guide development in the area to give effect to the strategic planning objectives for the Ocean Reef Marina.

The recommendation has been accepted by the Minister for Planning and the Governor.

Improvement Plan No. 51: Ocean Reef Marina is effective on and from the date of this gazettal being 31 December 2019.
