New job-creating development set for Elizabeth Quay
Monday 6 May 2019 The McGowan Government has welcomed the partnership between Chevron Australia and Brookfield to develop a new 29-storey multi-use tower at Elizabeth Quay.
Premier Mark McGowan and Planning Minister Rita Saffioti were present today as the two companies signed a development contract, with Brookfield to build Chevron's Australian headquarters.
The tower will include more than 54,000 square metres of office floor space and incorporates exhibition spaces, a lobby and conference facilities.
Located on the corner of The Esplanade and Barrack Street, the building's lower levels will include childcare and gymnasium space with retail tenancies and café/restaurants on the ground floor, to activate large areas of open plaza facing into Elizabeth Quay.
